Fans of Back To The Future 2 (the one where they actually go to the future) have been holding out for the ascention of hoverboards for over twenty years, and it looks like they have finally arrived!
Researchers at the Universite Paris Diderot in France achieved the impossible with a technology called quantum locking... We don't really understand how it works; something to do with a big magnetic superconductor mixed with liquid nitrogen - all we know is it looks very cool.
