SOFIA COPPOLA + H&M + MARNI

Oscar-winning writer/director Sofia Coppola's been roped in to shoot the campaign video for H&M's next designer collaboration, with cult Italian design house Marni.

The ad, which was shot this week in Marrakech, will air online and on TV early next year, and the collection will be in stores on March 8th 2012 (but you already knew that). 

To be honest, it's nice to see H&M venturing away from their preferred director Johan Renck for their designer campaigns. He is undeniably talented, but the spots have become a little predictable. We're looking fwd to seeing Coppola's take very soon.

L.A.DY DIOR

John Cameron Mitchell has a bit of fun with Dior's fifth instalment of the Lady Dior films, starring Marion Cottilard as a pampered starlet who whinges a bit, and then loses it a bit. Nothing revolutionary here, but it did make us chuckle. 

BLURRING THE BORDERS

Today we are loving British designer (and Central St Martins alum) Neil Barrett's new fashion short, Blurring The Borders. The film was created in collaboration with Dazed to celebrate the launch of his new webstore. 

Music is kindly provided by none other than Jamie xx, styling by Katie Shillingford, and stars models Andrej Pejic, Nastia and Thomas Penfound. Have a look:

MOSS + BOWIE = VOGUE

Brit icon Kate Moss does Brit icon David Bowie on the brand new January cover of French Vogue, shot by Mert & Marcus. Not the first time this has been done (see below), but we like it all the same.

H&M + MARNI

With the lucrative Versace collection barely under their belt, retail giant H&M have already announced next Spring's designer collaboration with Italian label Marni. 

As per, the line will feature men and women's pieces that embody the trademark, inventive prints and spirit of Marni's designs, and will be available from 8th of March 2012 in over 260 stores worldwide. Here's a word from Founder and Creative Director Consuelo Castiglioni:

AT HOME WITH ANOUCK

Let's have a little nosy around Belgian supermodel Anouck Lepere's apartment in Antwerp, shall we? 

Lepere studied architecture and design at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp, and is one of Louis Vuitton's latest Amble Ambassadors; check out her app here. (pics via Nowness)

CONVERSE + GORILLAZ

Oh look, Gorillaz have teamed up with Converse to create a shoe. They've also recorded a new song, ahead of their singles collection album (out later this month), but it's not available to hear yet. So you'll have to make do with the shoe for now.

THE VERY BEST OF VERSACE FOR H&M

Check out this bonkers but beautiful video from The Very Best of Versace for H&M (which we first told you about here). The collection is out on November 17th, and the ad was directed by long time H&M collaborator Johan Renck.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAZED

Lovely magazine Dazed & Confused is celebrating its 20th birthday by compiling a book of their favouritest photo shoots and creative collaborations. 

Entitled Making It Up As We Go Along, the book is edited by founders Jefferson Hack and Rankin, and features quotes, interviews + anecdotes from all the covers stars, stylists, designers, photographers, artists & musicians who helped shaped what the mag is today.

Armani are rolling out the sexy fashion films like nobody's business at the moment. Last week we told you about Steven Klein's noir affair with Rihanna, and it seems we now have the male counterpart, in the fine form of Rafael Nadal shot by Johan Renck.

DIGITAL COUTURE

Cutting-edge fashion's hottest commodity, one Nicola Formichetti, has been flirting with digital couture, hand-in-hand with multi-player gaming company CPP. The result? A virtual catwalk starring Zombie Boy himself, Mugler model Rick Genest.

RIHANNA 4 ARMANI

Lovely young popstrelle Rihanna (who was spotted with her oyster card on the tube last night, on the way to her own gig at the O2) has teamed up with Armani for their latest ad campaign. 

Shot in New York City by the almighty Steven Klein, they've also conjured up a nifty fashion film of the Noir variety. Very nice.

THE LOUIS VUITTON WOMAN

Ahead of his imminent move to Dior (still not official; still definitely happening), Louis Vuitton's creative director, one Marc Jacobs, sits down for a retrospective chat about his time & work heading one of LVMH's most treasured and profitable ventures.

POPULAR POP ART

With Milan Fashion Week currently hard under way, check out Australian graphic artist Craig Redman's apt pop art-inspired portraits of leading Italian fashion figures. 

Riccardo Tisci, Miuccia Prada, Valentino, Anna Piaggi and many more are present. Have a butchers at his website for more (such as portraits of Kanye West, above).

HOME.CORP DOES LFW

The HOME.corp team were given front row seats for Friday evening's Ashley Isham show at Il Bottaccio, as part of London Fashion Week.

Isham's Spring/Summer 2012 collection was a glamourous affair, full of laser-cut leather accessories and billowing gowns in shimmering nudes, matte metallics and rich raspberry - which you can glimpse at courtesy of our expert photography skills above (sorry).

We even provided a short film for the event's sponsor, cutting edge design label BABYMODO (above), who took over the venue's Media Room, where their gorgeous collection is on display throughout fashion week.

The film, created in partnership with Territory, was projected as a backdrop to the collection, mimicking its swirling watercolour prints and gorgeous palette of blues & purples

We're rather fond of a fashion film here at HOME.work, and sometimes it's the simplest ones that work the best. Cue this little number from Yves Saint Laurent, shot by Inez and Vinoodh and starring (who else?) Raquel Zimmerman in the brand's Autumn/Winter 2011 collection, soundtracked by lcd soundsystem.
