Photographer and former soldier Bran Symondson returned to Afghanistan two years after serving with the British Army to capture an incredibly intimate side of the ANP (Afghan National Police). With the prevalence of opium fields at its core, Symondson's images offer an unexpected aesthetic rarely attributed to war photography.
His series The Best View of Heaven is from Hell is on display at the Idea Generation Gallery until 20th February.
