Sad news to kick off the week. Iconic composer John Barry has sadly passed away at age 77. His scores are as poignant and memorable as the films they were created for, and included 11 James Bond films, Out of Africa, Born Free, Midnight Cowboy and Body Heat, to name just a few. Over his legendary career, Barry picked up five Oscars, was awarded an OBE and received the Bafta fellowship in 2005 in recognition of his services to film music.
