HOME-GROWN: PARACHUTES

Congrats to our very own Max and Michael on their fantastic new video for Charlie Simpson. The boys worked with Charlie on his first solo single, Down Down Down, and the result was so successful that they decided to team up again for his next one, Parachutes.

Shot on a disused aerodrome in Hertfordshire, our favourite directing duo set out to capture the song's mood with a unique visual concept. Says Max, "We wanted to make a film about different perspectives, and at the same time do something a bit unusual." Let's have a look at it.

On the video's concept, Max goes on to say: "The song is about the breakup of a relationship, and how varying moods and perspectives can really affect the way you see things. Something can feel depressing or amazing depending on what mood you're in, and that's often the difference between a relationship that works and one that doesn't."

"Working with Charlie is always great because he's such a natural performer and he loves new ideas. The video's also nicely geared towards the web, in that it's designed to be watched a few times. Hopefully you'll pick up something new on each viewing."

Parachutes is the second single to be taken from Charlie's debut solo album Young Pilgrim, pictured above, which is out on 15th August. Pre-order the album here, follow him on twitter here, and join his Facebook group here.
