TESCO BUYS BLINKBOX

Supermarket giant Tesco is taking on competitors Lovefilm and Sky with their recent acquisition of TV & movie-streaming service, Blinkbox. the site was created in 2006 and currently gets 2 million visitors per month, with access to over 10,000 films and TV shows. This follows a similar deal made when Lovefilm was bought by Amazon back in January.

The prevalence of instant-access to content through streaming makes perfect sense, and all the big companies getting on board can only mean one thing: they'll soon compete with each other to offer the best value to their customers.
