LESS EXPENSIVE, SMALLER IPHONES

The Wall Street Journal is reporting early whispers of the new generation of iPhones, expected to be unveiled this summer. Exactly what they will look like is unknown, but a source claims an early prototype is about half the size of the current iPhone 4, and is expected to retail at half the price too.

Apple is also rumoured to be completely re-structuring its MobileMe 'cloud computing' system, currently available on an annual subscription fee of $99, in favour of a free 'locker' service, where users will be able to store and exchange music, photos, videos and the like, which would eliminate the need for the device to carry a lot of memory.
