Saturday's closing ceremony of the Berlin film festival saw an Iranian film sweep the board. The coveted Golden Bear for best picture was given to director Asghar Farhadi's Nader and Simin, A Separation. The film deals with the difficult break-up of a marriage, whilst providing a subtle examination of Iran's social divide, religious traditions and justice system.
The festival's six-member jury, led by actress Isabella Rossellini, further praised the film by handing the best actor and best actress awards to its leads Peyman Moadi and Leila Hatami.
