WATERCOLOUR

Tate Britain's new show, simply entitled Watercolour, opens tomorrow. It does exactly what it says on the tin: an extensive exhibition spanning over 800 years of watercolur artworks by artists ranging from JMW Turner and Thomas Girtin, to Anish Kapoor and Tracey Emin.

Far from us to criticise the more experimental strand of exhibits out there, but sometimes a great art show really is just about staring at pretty pictures. Book now.
